Materials relating to suits brought by or threatened by the UFW against Jack Anderson, NBC Prime Time, Patty Newman, Reason Magazine, and others. To_Series_5

 

Series VI, Telephone Messages and Journals, 1976-1981; Boxes 12-15:

Telephone message slips and journals kept in stenographic notebooks are a record of Grossman’s daily activities. To_Series_6

 

Series VII, Clippings, 1970-1981; Boxes 16-18:

Clippings collected by Grossman concerning many aspects of farm labor, but particularly those in which he was directly involved. To_Series_7

This series contains personal materials from Marc Grossman.  Most of the files concern his undergraduate education at the University of California at Irvine, and his graduate education in journalism at UCLA.  They include correspondence, papers, class materials, research notes, papers from his internship at the L.A. Times, and issues of the California Sun from UCLA, arranged chronologically.

The materials in this series chronicle Grossman’s daily activities and contacts over the course of several years.  The telephone messages are the pink slips used to record incoming calls.  The journals are stenographic notebooks in which Grossman recorded his activities and ideas almost daily.
