Leonard Woodcock was a great union leader, statesman and intellectual. From beginning as a factory workers, he rose to become President of the UAW, chair of the first Wayne State University Board of Governors, a university professor and America's first Ambassador to the People's Republic of China. This is the story of Leonard Woodcock, his legendary negotiating skills and his concern for working people and social justice throughout the world.
