Just 2 1/2 months after the stock market crash which sent America reeling into the Great Depression, this family became a statistic. Thousands of people lost their jobs throughout the Depression, and many families, like the ----, were evicted from their homes when they had no means to pay their rent. Many families found themselves without shelter and with nowhere to turn but charities and government aid.
