With the onset of Detroit’s “industrial revolution” of the early 20th century, downtown Detroit grew rapidly developed skywards. Tradesmen erecting a building could include engineers, architects, ironworkers, stonemasons, bricklayers, electricians, and artisans of all types to provide adornment.
