The Jewish Association for Retarded Citizens (JARC) was incorporated in 1969 as the Parents Association for Jewish Residential Care and became the JARC in 1980. The papers reflect the activities of the JARC, which provided residential, vocational and recreational services for developmentally disabled Jewish children and young adults in Oakland County.
