A member of United Auto Workers (UAW) Local 227, Raymond Kay served as president of the Greater Detroit Construction, Maintenance and Powerhouse Workers’ Council, as president of the Skilled Trades Council and ran for Michigan State Representative and State Senator. Mr. Kay’s papers relate his work with trade unions and his involvement in state politics.
