(7684) Council 50 protests for Lillian Roberts

Then AFSCME International Vice President and Council 50 organizer Lillian Roberts had been jailed after working with New York City hospital workers. Developing an innovative education program for the hospital workers, she ultimately led a strike. Then Governor Nelson Rockefeller jailed her for breaking the Taylor Law which prohibits strikes. Here, supporting AFSCME members demand Roberts's release.
