James Hartway (b. 1944, Detroit, Michigan) earned Bachelor of Arts and Master of Music degrees from Wayne State University and a Ph.D. in music from Michigan State University. He is currently a Distinguished Professor of Music at Wayne State University and the Director of the Wayne State University Division of Music Composition and Theory. This collection consists of scores for 74 of Dr. Hartway's musical compositions.
